Hello from Oakville, Ontario

Dear Darla,

We are enjoying writing to your interesting and wonderful students in PEI. We are hoping to be able to share information about Ontario and in turn, learn about the unique island of PEI. I like your idea of coming up with topic letters to help us focus our letter writing and to help us organise our thoughts.

I hope that each of your students has received at least one letter from their blog buddy. We are writing first in our word processing program and printing the letter so that I may look over the letters and help with editing before the blogs are posted but I think that the responses in "comments" can be submitted right away, on line. I am sure that you will agree that it is exciting to receive a reply and an answer right away. In this way the class can even access the blog at home to read and add comments to their messages, giving more time in class to write the more detailed and informative letters.
